Will my customers realise they're talking to an AI?
The AI always introduces itself clearly as an automated assistant from the first second of the call — this is both an ethical obligation and a best practice in customer transparency. But the conversation is so fluid (natural language understanding, no key-press menu) that the vast majority of customers are perfectly comfortable with it — especially when their call is picked up immediately in under a second rather than going to voicemail after 6 rings. For a private customer urgently calling a plumber, what matters is having someone available NOW who understands the request and offers a slot or transfers to you if it's serious. The human or AI nature of the responder is secondary compared to fast problem resolution.
And if the customer reports a real on-site emergency?

Does the AI understand accents and trade vocabulary?
